RateCheck is a free tool that compares the FX rate you were quoted against a public mid-market reference rate. We've kept this policy short because we collect very little data and we want you to actually read it.
What we collect
The Checker tool runs in your browser. The currencies, amounts, and rates you enter are never sent to our servers — they exist only in the URL of the page you're looking at.
Like most websites we receive standard request metadata (IP address, user agent, referring URL) when your browser loads a page. We use this only to keep the service running and to diagnose problems.
Cookies and analytics
We don't set advertising or behavioural cookies from RateCheck directly. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to measure traffic; if so we'll list the provider here.
Ads
RateCheck is supported by contextual advertising — typically from money-transfer providers and brokers. Contextual means the ad you see is chosen from the currency pair you're looking at on the page, not from a profile we've built of you.
If we ever add a third-party ad network that uses cookies or device identifiers for retargeting, we'll disclose the provider here and offer an opt-out before any tracking begins.
Children
RateCheck is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
If you're in a jurisdiction with data-protection rights (EEA, UK, California, and several others) you have the right to ask what we hold about you and to request deletion. Email connect@fxforge.co with the request and we'll respond within the timeframe required by your local law.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we'll update the date above and post a notice on the homepage for at least 14 days.
